IAEE's 2016 Educational Entrepreneur Ruth P. Beauchamp

Ruth Beauchamp is a consultant, coach, trainer, content, product and career development professional.

Ruth BeauchampSince launching in 2010, Beauchamp's company, Oranda has evolved from selling a single product, Focus 1-2-3, into consulting services for organizations and individuals interested in advancing their impact and furthering their reach.

Ruth works with heart-centered organizations and solo entrepreneurs to propel them forward in their life's work. In addition, Beauchamp provides career coaching for career changers, young adults and teens to discover career matches that align with their assets and aptitudes.

From 2000-2012, Beauchamp managed induction, intern and university teacher preparation programs in the San Francisco Bay Area. From 2009-2012, she acted as Regional Director for a consortia of 11 alternative licensing programs in Northern California by providing mentoring and technical support as a liaison to the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.

In 2013, Beauchamp's family moved to Fort Collins, Colorado where she built upon her expertise in professional development and creating positive learning environments and applied this knowledge and skills in the areas of career development and climate and culture in the workplace.

Ruth has contracted with state agencies to support educators in their implementation of career and college readiness programs. As well, she has trained 100s in social-emotional learning competencies, and is partnering with thought leaders in career development on a number of projects to re-imagine and leverage their offerings for additional markets.

Beauchamp earned career coaching certificates in Global Career Development, Narrative Assessments and Who You Are Matters! Facilitation. She holds a M.A. in Organizational Leadership, principal, administrator credentials from the University of San Francisco; elementary and secondary teaching licenses from San Diego State University; a B.S. in Consumer Food Science from the University of California, Davis; and an A.A. in Spanish from Foothills College.
